Introducing a Unique Mobile Application

We have been prevalent in this industry in roles such as retailer, distributor, and manufacturer in a tenure spanning more than 3 decades. This has allowed us to understand the industry inside out and gain a bird’s eye perspective of the happenings. We have been faced with problems in every role. And needed to come up with viable, technology-driven solutions that will eradicate the problem.

One of our more persistent problems was linked to our PVC edge banding tape business. We are the leading distributors for the same in the Vidarbha region. We were faced with hundreds of WhatsApp queries about matching laminates, which was an overwhelmingly daunting task to take on. We waited for someone else to solve this problem for us, which didn’t serve our purpose and match our core values.

We realized the need to step up and tackle head first what was being faced with. Out of this necessity was born our inventive and innovative idea- Youva!

Our Journey

This problem was shared in general with many people of our industry. Everyone understood the problem, many responded, few tried and at last only four of us remained who thrived for a solution no matter how much efforts and time it may take. The four of us had the problem and determination to conquer it, but the fun fact was none of us knew how. We wanted a technology driven solution but none of us had technical background. We talked to few tech companies overseas. After hearing us they said that in their country_______. Then we asked few people in Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad. After visiting these many cities someone told us to go to our own Silicon Valley – Bengaluru. The very next day we were at the Bengaluru Airport. We met more than 30 tech companies. At last, we settled for one and started working with them. After all these exercises the people who were not at all tech savvy were talking about machine language, artificial intelligence and image recognition. We were two years experienced by now.

We thought that now the road will be very smooth but it was just the beginning. We needed laminates folders, PVC edge banding samples so that we can get them scanned for our application. At that time it was really difficult to convince people of our own industry as they thought that this is not possible unless you have some magic wand. Many of them refused but some gave us the samples of their products because they believed in us, they have already seen how we have made our mark in industry.

After many months of perseverance, the result was finally in our hand. The calendar years had already changed between the inception of idea and its execution.

We gave beta version of our application to some people of our market. We were delighted to see their response. Their facial expressions were like they have seen some magic. They were awestruck. All they could say was “Bhai, yahi to chahiye tha, abhi ke abhi link share kar. Isko mai abhi turant carpenter, architect aur OEM ko bhej deta hu”. At this moment we thought that our sleepless nights have paid off.

After all this we sat together to find out what made us achieve this herculean task? At last we all realized that it is not hardwork, smart work, market relations, financials or anything else but it is just “lage rehna”.

Our Mission

We belong to one of the oldest industries in the world. It is as old as the existence of the man himself. But still this industry has so many problems which needs to be addressed. For that we, Youva, are here to provide Innovative Solutions to the decade old problems.
